The Kirkintilloch Business Improvement District (BID) is a non-profit organisation made up of local businesses working together to enhance and promote the town.

BIDs are business-led collaborations where commercial tenants and property owners invest in improving their area and driving economic growth. Businesses within the defined BID area identify key priorities and pool resources to address them, ensuring mutual benefits for their enterprises and the wider community.

A BID acts as a strong advocate for local businesses, representing their interests on important local, national, and political matters. Initiatives can include reducing business costs, enhancing safety and cleanliness, and delivering proactive marketing and events to boost footfall and economic activity.

There are currently 39 BIDs across Scotland, each working to strengthen their local economies and communities.
